Law of Attraction Prayer

Quite a long time ago, when I was quite depressed I read a lot of books on the power of the subconscious mind and the law of attraction. I memorised a kind of prayer from one of these books, which when recited, focuses positive intentions for the day.  I’ve used this prayer daily for the past 18 years and I believe that it truly helps my day go much better. I’ve shared the prayer at the end of this post.  First, a little about how it works.

The idea is that you could somehow work with the power of the subconscious mind to manifest things into the physical.  It works on the premise that by every thought or word, you attract into your life that which you focus on.  If you constantly tell yourself that you are depressed, poor, unhappy or ill you will constantly reaffirm and invite these things into your life, and very little will change.

We are a result of the experiences that we have had up to this point in life, what we have been told by others and what we have told ourselves. By changing the inner dialogue to ourselves into something more positive, we can help change our mental programming.

Positive affirmations help keep you focused on what you want to achieve.  With constant repetition you can eliminate feelings of doubt and insecurity.  This can assist in making it easier to achieve a positive result.

As part of my daily routine I start the day by reciting this prayer, which in essence is a series of positive affirmations.  It focuses my attention on the day ahead and sets my day in a positive way.  I believe that reciting this really helps my day to flow easily.  It’s a habit that I’ve developed over the years.

I gave the book away that I got this prayer from but it can be found in the book “The Top Secret” by Dr. Joseph Murphy.  The original book I had was bought about twenty years ago.

Here’s the verse:

“Divine order takes charge of my life today and everyday.  Everything works well for me today.  This is a new and wonderful day for me, there will never be another day like this one.  I am divinely guided all day long and whatever I do will prosper.  Divine love surrounds me, enfolds me and enwraps me as I go forth in peace.  Whenever my attention wanders away from that which is good and constructive, I will immediately bring it back to the contemplation of that which is lovely and of good report.  I am a spiritual and mental magnet attracting to myself all things that bless and prosper me today.  I am going to be a wonderful success in all I do today.  I am definitely going to be happy all day long”.

In the book Murphy advises reciting it five times daily.  As for me, I say it three times in the morning. Try reciting this to yourself each morning and make a note on how your day gets on. You may be surprised!
